1) Triethylenetetramine is a light yellow viscous liquid, the aqueous solution is strongly alkaline. 2) In addition to being used as a solvent, TETA is also used to manufacture epoxy resin curing agents, rubber additives, emulsifiers, surfactants, lubricant additives, fuel oil detergents and dispersants, gas purifiers, cyanide-free electroplating diffusers, brighteners, detergents, softeners, metal chelating agents, and synthetic polyamide resins and ion exchange resins. 3) In the synthetic resin industry, TETA is used as epoxy resin curing agent and in the manufacture of polyamide resin and ion exchange resin. 4) In the rubber industry, TETA used to manufacture rubber accelerators. 5) In the electroplating industry, TETA is used to manufacture cyanide-free electroplating diffusing agents and brighteners. 6) Triethylenetetramine used as oil purification dispersant in the oil refining industry. 7) In the oil and fat industry, TETA is used to make lubricant additives.
